A
survey on various types of antennas used for the early detection of Breast
cancer is presented here. With the rapid development of technology, affinity
towards the field of flexible antennas both in academia and industry has been
greatly increased in the recent era. Light weight, low manufacturing cost, ease
of fabrication and cheap availability of the substrate made flexible antenna
compelling for new generation consumer electronics. Now a days, Breast cancer
is a major health issue that is seen predominantly in women and affects one in
every seven women. X-ray mammography is a standard technique that is followed
for detecting early stage breast cancer which has several limitations such as
exposure to hazardous rays. Microwave Thermography technique is proposed as an
alternate way for detecting and locating the breast tumour. Several researches
have been done in reference to detection of breast cancer and results are
published. Few of the research findings are presented here and compared with
one another with their analytical results.
