STATIC DEVICE AND TRANSMISSION LINE MONITORING USING ARDUINO

The transformer monitoring and protection on electrical power lines are important factors in power system.  The Paper proposes the idea of monitoring of transformer and Power lines using SMS based GSM Technology. The Proposed methodology is designed and implemented using Adruino processing board to monitor load fluctuations with respect to current and voltage in electric power lines. The proposed on-line monitoring system is installed at the  site  and above mentioned parameter are read analog port in the Arduino board .The acquired parameters are processed in the system memory. If there is any abnormality according to some predefined instruction and policies that are stored on the Arduino board memory then GSM alerts to concerned control room immediately. This mobile system will help the utilities to optimally utilize the protection of transformer and power line and identify problems before any catastrophic failure.
