This paper proposes space vector modulation based H-Bridge multilevel inverter which employs single dc input power source with isolated unequal turns ratio low-frequency power transformer. In this proposed topology three H-Bridges are used, hence 27 levels are achieved with single DC input and multi winding transformer unit. Hence harmonics are reduced in the output level therefore an economical and efficient inverter can be designed. In this proposed topology trinary switching scheme is used to achieve the desired levels. In conventional method switching angle calculation time of cascaded H-Bridge multilevel inverter is more. In order to reduce switching angle calculation time, this paper proposes Real time operating system (RTOS) based cascaded H-Bridge multilevel inverter. More over this converter has a better control capability when compared to the conventional method. Closed loop control of Induction motor is also performed by using this inverter. The performance of the Induction motor is done through simulation using MATLAB/Simulink.
